William Shatner + Esperanto + Succubi = Awesome

Esper-what? Succu-who? Let’s start with what we DO understand: awesome. William Shatner is awesome. He’s even more so when he’s the star of “Incubus,” a 1960′s horror film about soul-stealing blondes and satanic rituals…spoken in the wholly invented language, Esperanto. You’ll have to look up “succubi” on Wikipedia. We’re not here to teach you English… or Esperanto for that matter.

So before “Avatar” and “Star Trek” there was Bill Shatner speaking Esperanto, in the horror film called “Incubus”.

As an Esperanto speaker I found it terrifying! His Esperanto pronunciation that is, not the film.

An Esperanto speaker speaks! I’m really curious to know how and why you learned it. I found a little translator tool online and have had a lot of fun with it today http://www.kafejo.com/lingvoj/auxlangs/eo/tradukilo/ . I have a total fascination with Esperanto and hope to have time to learn it some day. I’m kinda disappointed to hear that the Shat didn’t master his Esperanto… tsk, tsk, tsk.
